Tour Overview

Below is a detailed plan for this 5 days Uganda safari. Please note that the estimated driving distances could be slightly more or less depending on various factors like traffic and speed limits on certain roads.

Day 1: Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park

Early morning, our tour guide will pick you up and transfer you to Murchison Falls National Park in North-Western Uganda. Murchison Falls National Park is Uganda’s oldest and largest safari park. It spans about 3800 square kilometers. When you reach the park, you will head for an afternoon boat ride to the bottom of the falls. Just next to the bottom, you will also hike to the top of the falls. On this boat, you will also get to see a lot of animals drinking water at the river banks. After this activity, you will carry out a brief evening game drive before heading to your safari lodge for an overnight.

Main Destination: Murchison Falls National Park

Accommodation: Paraa Safari Lodge (Luxury), Pakuba Safari Lodge (Moderate), Heritage Safari Lodge (Budget)

Day 2: Morning Game Drive and Transfer to Kampala

This day you head for a morning game drive. You will start your day with a good breakfast meal and head for an early morning game viewing drive at exactly 7:00am. This experience will amaze you. You will see animals like Giraffes, Lions, Warthogs, Leopards, Hyenas, Kobs and more. At abut 11:30am, you will drive back to your lodge, freshen up, relax a bit and have lunch as you prepare to depart the park for Kampala. After lunch, you will drive back to Kampala for an overnight. Please note that it is impossible to transfer straight from Murchison Falls National Park to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park on the same day. This is a 10 – 12 hours drive and could get up to 14 in worse scenarios. So it is better to break the journey by spending a night at Kampala then depart for Bwindi the next day.
