3 Days Gorilla Trekking Bwindi Plan

Below is the detailed plan of this short 3 days gorilla package. Feel free to propose any additions or adjustments if you need any and we shall amend that accordingly. This safari begins and ends in Entebbe but can be adjusted to begin and end in Kigali – Rwanda, Begin in Kigali and end in Entebbe or begin in Entebbe and end in Kigali City. 3 Days Bwindi – Detailed Itinerary

Below is a detailed day by day travel schedule for this 3 days gorilla tour in Bwindi. Feel free to request for any changes if need be.

Day One: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

This is the first day of your 3 days bwindi gorilla safari. This day you have an early morning breakfast and set off for Bwindi Impenetrable National Park in south western Uganda. This drive is approximately 8 hours where as a flight only takes 2 hours and gives you more time in the afternoon to carry out light activities. If you travel by road, you will get a chance to stop at the equator line for photography and coffee, have lunch in Mbarara and climax your drive to south western Uganda.

Day Two: Mountain Gorilla Trekking


Wake up early in the morning and head to the park offices by 7:30am for a short briefing meeting. It is from this same meeting that you will be split into groups and assigned random gorilla groups to track. After this meeting, you will then head into the forests to search and visit Uganda mountain gorillas. This gorilla trekking experience lasts from two to eight hours maximum depending on how long you take to locate the gorillas. This includes a full hour encounter you will spend around these gentle primates. Usually guides split into potions and move ahead of you to locate the gorillas first and then communicate to their fellow guides so as to guide them on the right direction. This way, you will locate gorillas easily and your hike becomes way shorter. After meeting gorillas, you will return to your safari lodge for late lunch.

Day Three: Transfer back to Kampala

This last day of your 3 day bwindi gorilla tour, we return back to Kampala. If you are using a flight, you will have a morning nature walk around the park as you wait for your afternoon flight. If you are travelling by road, you have to leave very early if you are to make it to Kampala in time. You will have your lunch en route in Mbarara Town.
