Detailed Tanzania Zanzibar Wildlife & Beach Holiday Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival and Transfer to Arusha

Having reached at Kilimanjaro international airport, you will be picked by our professional guide and be led to a hotel of your choice from where you will relax as you enjoy African air.

You will spend time with the guide and he will let you know about Africa’s secret beauty and other insights of national parks and other adventurous sites of Tanzania. Feel free to ask any questions since the guide is always in position of answering them all.

This is a trip worth your attention, money and time. The choice to either leave in the morning or evening lies in your hands.

All you need to know is that our professional guide will always be by your side to ensure that you have an adventurous safari.

Day 2: Leisure Day in Arusha Town

Day two is your day of leisure and acclimatization; it is your day of relaxation at the swimming pool or exploration of the lodge environment.

Here you still have a choice of taking part in any activity such as hiking, canoeing, city tour or walking. Briefing will be a primary responsibility of your tour guide.

Day 3: Explore Arusha National Park

Before driving to Arusha national park – the beginning point of the safari, first have a delicious breakfast and embark on the drive to the park with the guidance of the guide.

Arusha national park is a potential birding area since it is made up of lakes, waterfalls, swamps, tropical rain forests and volcanic mountains.

Such places attract flamingos, silvery-cheeked hornbill and a multitude of other bird species. Additionally, black and white colobus monkeys can only be traced in northern Tanzania.

Day 4: Leisure day at a hotel in Arusha

In addition to relaxation at the pool, you can be part of; horse riding, visiting local markets, nature walking, canoeing at Lake Duluti, mountain biking tour via villages and beautiful nature, visiting the Materuni waterfalls at the foot of Mount Kilimanjaro and walking via coffee plantations

Day 5: Arusha to Tarangire National Park

Immediately, after a lip-smacking breakfast embark on a drive to Tarangire national park for a full day of game drive.

Tarangire is one of Tanzania’s less known parks; it is an area that offers an authentic safari destination.

Against the breathtaking blue sky, Tarangire’s landscape is scattered with grand Baobab trees.

At Tarangire river, there is an opportunity for you to watch over three hundred elephants as they drink and play in the sandbank on the shorelines.

Like earlier stated, Tarangire national park is a reliable important birding area. Other animals visible in this park include but not limited to lions, elephants, leopards, cheetahs and climbing pythons.

Day 6-8: Serengeti National Park

On the sixth day, you will have to shift to Serengeti national park and view the magnificent landscape which has been used in a number of documentaries.

The park is characterized by endless plains, abundant wildlife, and annual wildebeest migration making their way to Serengeti national park.

Zebras and gazelles are some of the visible animals across the plains of Serengeti national park.

Your safari guide will lead you through the plains of the park and have a glance at migratory animals in addition to predators which accompany these animals in search of what to put in their stomachs such as lions, cheetahs, leopards, to mention but a few.

Another great recommendation for you is a balloon safari where you get a chance of viewing wild game at an angle of 3600.

Day 9: Explore Ngorongoro Crater

Drive to Ngorongoro Conservation Area as soon as you are done with breakfast and take a look at a number of wild animals. You will then descend to Ngorongoro crater floor as soon as possible and enjoy spectacular amazing views.

The collapsed volcano is a home to diverse ecosystems and a wide range of vegetation types. Some of visible animals at the crater include; lions, elephants, buffaloes, rhinoceros and hippopotamuses.

All the big five species are available at Ngorongoro crater.

The Crater Lake is a true reflection of beauty, no wonder it was crowned among the seven natural wonders of Africa.

While here, you can also choose to pay a visit to nearby Masai villages or the elephant caves which are equally spectacular.

Day 10-14: Fly to Zanzibar. Spend 4 days at Leisure

The next four days are a great opportunity for you to pay a visit to the mighty Zanzibar Island which comprises of miles of white sandy beaches full of palm trees. They are also encompassed by azure Indian Ocean waters which are responsible for the special air at the beaches.

A number of activities are available for you among which include visiting coral reefs and swimming alongside tropical reef fish. You can as well sunbathe, surf, snorkel and dive in the blue waters of Indian Ocean.

Day 15: Fly from Zanzibar to Dar es Salaam. Departure

After an early breakfast, you will be driven to the nearby airstrip or use a speed boat and connect to Dar es Salam for a home bound flight, thus coming to the climax of your 15 days Zanzibar safari.
