Detailed Kenya Camping Safari Itinerary

Day 1: Amboseli National Park safari expedition

Have breakfast early and after, depart for Amboseli National Park off from Nairobi Kenya. Amboseli is popular for its breathtaking views of Tanzania’s Mount Kilimanjaro and it is photographers most sought for destination.

The park’s important animal species include zebras, elephants, giraffes, lions-have lunch at Amboseli N/Park’s lodge then set off for game drive in the afternoon.

Day 2: Sunrise game drive in Amboseli

Rise up early, enjoy breakfast at leisure and then embark on a guided game drive. Catch up with cheetahs, lions, leopards, birds, elephants and enjoy the stunning Mount Kilimanjaro views.

Return for a relaxed lunch and return for another session of game drive in Amboseli.

Day 3: Visit Ol Pejeta Conservancy

Wake up for early breakfast and after, carry a picnic lunch and then set off for Ol Pejeta Conservancy also popularly known as Sweet Waters.

Explore the Ol Pejeta – renowned as a chimpanzee sanctuary in Kenya and followed by evening / afternoon game drive in Aberdare National Park.

Day 4: Samburu National Reserve Safari

Breakfast in the morning and after, leave Ol Pejeta Conservancy for Samburu National Reserve one of Kenya’s untapped tourist sites.

The reserve is famed for its distinct landscapes and a popular home of lions, leopards, giraffes, antelopes – generally popular for its ‘Special Five’; including the long necked gerenuk, besia oryx, Somali ostrich, reticulated giraffes and these can be explored during an afternoon guided game drive.

Day 5: Full day Samburu National Reserve – Kenya

After breakfast, explore and experience Samburu National Reserve on a full-day game viewing. The animal species to expect to come across include hyenas, lions, leopards, cheetahs, antelopes, giraffes etc.

Day 6: Samburu to Lake Nakuru National Park

Have a hefty breakfast and after, visit Lake Nakuru NP along the Great Rift Valley.

Lake Nakuru NP was once popular for flamingo but currently, boasts for its large herds of buffaloes, black and white rhinos.

Have lunch at leisure then an afternoon game drive via the lake’s shores to enjoy sight of baboons, elands, waterbucks, lions, leopards, buffaloes, birds including flamingos.

Day 7: Lake Nakuru to Lake Bogoria – Lake Naivasha

A hefty breakfast early and after, expect to pay a visit to 2 other scenic lakes in the Magical Kenya including Lake Bogoria to visit the hot springs & geysers.

This scenic lake houses over 2 million flamingos and you will have a chance to relax at the hot springs & swimming pools. Get lunch and leave for Lake Naivasha for incredible view of hippos, aquatic birds for boat ride.

Day 8: Lake Naivasha to Maasai Mara National Reserve

Depart from Lake Naivasha for Maasai Mara National Reserve, one of the most popular nature reserve in Kenya.

Expect big game viewing and mesmerizing wildebeest migration, bird sighting then return during the sunset game drive.

Day 9: Maasai Mara National Reserve in Kenya

Activities to do-hot air balloon & game drive; start with breakfast early and after, catch up with early risers of Masai Mara on a game drive or go for hot air balloon tour.

Later, have an afternoon day on a game drive and back to the lodge for relaxation.

Day 10: Drive back to Nairobi Capital

Bid farewell to the Mara Reserve after a cup of tea/coffee, and drive back to Nairobi for departure or drop off at the hotel in Nairobi. End of the 10 days Kenya safari.
