Day 3: Gorilla trekking and visit the Batwa people

After breakfast, set off for the park headquarters. You will meet other trekkers and together the ranger guides will verify your trekking documents and explain the trekking dos and don’ts.

Thereafter the ranger guides will lead you to the jungle, starting the search from where the gorillas were last spotted to where they are feeding and relaxing.

You will have to tackle the hills and slopes, just to have a way to the Gorillas, yet meeting other residents, primates and residents to mention but a few. You will spend a maximum of an hour with the gorillas, taking photos and watching them play or feed.

Thereafter go back to the lodge for lunch, followed by an evening cultural tour with the Batwa Community, where you will enjoy the stories and songs. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Day 4: Bwindi Impenetrable National Park to Volcanoes National Park

After enjoying a peaceful nap, wake up to an energizing cup of coffee, before checking out of the lodge for a transfer to Volcanoes national park in northern Rwanda – the land of a thousand hills.

The journey lasts for roughly 4-5 hours coupled with amazing views of rolling terraced hills, vibrant towns and green vegetation.

You will have lunch en-route, yet arrive at the lodge near the national park in the evening; proceeding with a check-in, followed by dinner and a nap.

Day 5: Gorilla trekking in Volcanoes National Park and twin lakes visit

Start your morning with a heavy breakfast meal at the lodge, and thereafter head to the Park headquarters for registration and pre trekking briefing by the ranger guides.

Upon finding mountain gorillas, you are given a maximum of one hour to take photos and study their unique Behavior. At this point don’t forget the trekking rules and regulations, as stated from the start of the exercise.
