You will admire the amazing views of rolling hills, lush sweeping vegetation and smiling natives.
On arrival at the park, proceed for lunch, before an interesting canopy walk that reveals more beauty of this national park, variety of birds on the treetops and a few common primates. This day ends with a yummy dinner meal and peaceful sleep at the lodge.
Day 2: Chimpanzee trekking and transfer to Kahuzi-Biega National Park
Today, a reunion with your cousins the chimpanzees follows an early morning cup of Coffee.
You will drive to the park headquarters for briefing, before commencing the trekking session in a territory with over 13 unique primate species co-existing together.
The park rangers will guide you through the forest as you take each step with great expectations of encountering one or more of the chimps feeding, playing and relaxing on the ground or treetops.
Chimpanzee trekking lasts for roughly 1-5 hours, plus a bonus hour offered to you for close observation at these rare creatures.
Chimpanzees are man’s closest relatives sharing about 98.8% of human genes, meaning there are so many attributes you should expect to see so similar to those of humans, like the hours they eat, use of hands and social life.
Afterwards, get back for lunch at the lodge and check out for amazing transfer to eastern Congo based Kahuzi-Biega National Park, following a route marked by flourishing plantations, undulating hills and happy people.
The other much more interesting way of reaching Kahuzi-Biega National park is using a boat cruise.
You will verify and get new documents at the Congo-Rwanda boarder post, before proceeding to your accommodation for dinner and sweet slumber.
Day 3: Eastern Lowland Gorilla Trekking and Departure
Start this 3rd day with a delicious breakfast at the lodge, before heading to the park headquarters for a briefing with the Park rangers who will verify the trekking documents, explain the trekking rules and describe these apes.

As you search around, expect an encounter with a variety of mammals, primates, reptiles and several bird species.
On locating the apes, concentrate at their feeding style, body appearance and social interactions, before having a lunch break.
